There's no doubt that we're definitely headed in the direction of the converged web desktop, I'm concerned that giving one company control over all of our data will lead to very bad things.
That said... Google has yet to prove itself the evil company that people were predicting now that they are publicly traded, so perhaps all of this worrying is unwarranted.
That might not have made any sense...I'm tired :)
