I'm broke.

I blame Starbucks and the Human need for instant gratification. Or myself. Or the fact that I finished my Christmukkah shopping in record time instead of spacing it out as usual.

And I miss my cat very much.

I blame Starbucks
Me too. I forgot it's not completely impossible to get a reasonably priced cup of coffee around these parts. I needed a serious caffeine drip this morning, but the line at the Starbucks was out the door and I was already late to work (I know--how can I be late when I don't have to get there till 10:30. It's tough, but I managed.) Anyway, since a gingerbread latte was out of the question due to time constraints, I ducked into the Korean Deli next door (note: it does not serve Korean food, nor is it run by Koreans, so I'm not sure where it got that moniker around this building, but anyway...). I got a medium coffee for $1.14. One-freaking-fourteen. Yeah.

I have a four-cup coffee maker in my cube. It does quite nicely and I use Safeway-brand coffee (the fancy Safeway-brand cofee).

But we have a Starbucks in our basement. And there's one up the block from my apartment. And I don't have a coffee maker at home. Grrrr.

OK, my word verification is wtgsxrbe and I can't stop thinking 'what good sexer be...' OK, crazy.

I thought about bringing a coffee maker in to work; and I might just do it now that my officemate is gone *dance, dance* My team lead is moving in with me soon, but we can probably rearrange it so that I have a bit more personal space. I have a fancy-schmancy coffeemaker at home, but my since my work day starts at the ridiculously-early 10:30am, I hardly ever have time to use it. I wish I were kidding.

Re: the word verification-- I think your upstairs neighbor's perversion is rubbing off on you. What can you do with 'xrzgqlor'?

I'm the king of rambly comments today.
